What information do we collect?

When using our website as a guest we do not collect any specific identifying information about the user on our systems. We do attempt to determine the type of device all users are viewing the website from using items such as browser string, screen size, and device orientation. This allows us to better design the website using this information, but no personal information such as IP Address or physical location are stored during this phase. Registered users submit personal information for creating accounts which is used to ship products and email customers order receipts and important information about account changes only. Users visiting with our Official Comm Centre Online App also share the fact that they are using the app so we can modify certain design aspects of the website and offer special discounts and credits. On login, we collect username and password which are then hashed and compared to encrypted database items to validate logins.

When do we collect information?

When browsing our website we collect user device information on every page using the 'data.js' included on every page. You can simply block this script if you wish to opt out of this type of collection. Additionally, when logging in, registering for an account, sending contact requests, purchasing items, or resetting passwords, we may collect information related to those events. Our servers log active connections also known as sessions which are valid for 24 hours and then removed from the system. These sessions are used to validate your current browsing session and store items such as carts, account user id (for showing authenticated pages), and displaying load statuses to the networking team. They are not used to personally identify you unless specified for that purpose.

How do we use your information?

We use the information we collect when you browse the site, register, make a purchase, or contact us in the following way:

What information do we share?

The simple answer to this question is none. All customer information that is stored on our systems is kept within our systems and is never sold, shared, or given away to any other party. We will do our best to maintain our security systems so that users information is not breached, but in such an event we will notify users as soon as we become aware that a breach has taken place. All Comm Centre account passwords are hashed and encrypted to protect them from potential threats. Customers are responsible for their own personal account information such as passwords, usernames, and recovery questions.
